About LuNay Nook
Pre-loved Book and Gift Box Hampers from Devon
LuNay Nook is born from a desire to rescue unloved books, support independent businesses and offer a fully bespoke gift package all in one!
LuNay Nook sells mystery book boxes with hand selected gifts and items included.
Each box will always include the following: - Pre-loved book (choose from a genre or ask for a random selection) - Bookmark - Affirmation card - Additional items depending on box chosen.
Within each box will be at least 1 item from an independent business seller. Items may be literature themed, seasonal items or items to promote wellbeing and make the recipient smile.
Contents will vary each time so you can make repeat orders and always discover something new
Why Pre-loved?
In the UK it is extremely difficult to recycle old books due to the glue used in the binding and millions are sent to landfill each year.
At LuNay Nook I am on a mission to save as many books as possible from a landfill fate! We will never throw a book away and all our reading stock is made up of pre-loved, second hand or unsold author books. Books which do not make the grade for a reading box are given new life in a variety of ways. This may include:

- Being reborn as literature confetti
- Having a starring role in a reading box as protective packaging/filler.
- Wrapped around our voucher wallets.
- Utilised in craft projects.
Guest Sellers and Small Business Support
I admit to two things which influence my business..
1 - I LOVE books! I love to immerse myself in a book world and surround myself with decor to match. If I find a book themed item, I have to have it....and now include it in my shop and gift boxes. LuNay Nook is perfect for bookworms.
2 - I hate to be predictable! I want to fill the boxes with items that people haven't seen before, items that people love, that make them smile, that create that warm, gooey feeling inside and that feeling of excitement when you are unwrapping something unique. In Autumn/winter I want to feel hygge and cosy. In Spring/Summer I want to feel light and colourful. I often try to match gift items to the season in which they are gifted. On national celebrations I will create unique, themed boxes eg Valentines, Halloween, Summer Solstice, Christmas etc
The way in which I find these unique items is by searching out unique businesses and independent sellers. I believe in supporting small business and as many items as possible will come from an independent seller so may be uniquely handcrafted. Each box will include that sellers business details in order to promote the work that they do. I love building this network and discovering such uniquely, talented people in the UK.
